As the Common People hat has its revival on a regular basis every winter as soon as it gets colder, I thought it would be a good idea to update the pattern. The fact that my friends at Scheepjes released a new yarn that matches the pattern perfectly, did manifest the decision.
Pattern in US and UK terms, swedish, german, and spanish:
A big big thank you to all testers, translators and people who support me in the process.

The new Scheepjes WOOLWISE comes in 60 colors and gives you a lot of new options. The WOOLWISE is a 100% recycled superwas merino yarn in dk size. It comes in 100g balls that hold 200meters. I used a 4,5 mm hook for my COMMON PEOPLE hat.

Originally the pattern uses Scheepjes MERINO SOFT which of course is still very good to use. The WOOLWISE version is slightly more stable and more wooly as the MERION SOFT. In my opinion the new yarn gives the COMMON PEOPLE pattern a much more solid, wooly, knitted feeling just perfect for very cold winter days. The pattern does not need to be adapted, the size still stays the same.

If you decide to buy new yarn, Scheepjes Yarn can be bought at your local yarn shop: Scheepjes Dealers . If you do not have the possibility to buy local, you can order your Scheepjes yarn at Wool Warehouse or Jimmy Beans Wool

I also added a two color version. One color brim, one color crown. The color change is performed in a way so the change is hidden under the brim and is not visual at all. The goal was that you will be able to only use 1 ball of each color so the hat will not be too expensive.

I also added a little tips and tricks video so that is easier for you all to get the right gauge by using the yarn under technique which may make your stitches a little tighter. Even the color change is added in the video because even if it is not visible we still want it smooth, dont we?

The pattern is a one size fits all pattern as it is very stretchy. If you still want to adapt the size you have to change your needle size.
