SCHEEPJES Dawn Chorus Pick & Mix CKAL Experience – the Goldcrest Scarf- Part III

Time flies when you have fun and it feels like this CKAL is like a bird and just flies freely.

I know that there are a lot of people working very hard behind the scenes to make all this possible and that everything goes smooth and without friction, and I really would like to thank those people one more time.

The pattern is published for FREE in the official Scheepjes Facebook Groups:

Or on the official Scheepjes Website:

And, you will now also find the pattern in german here!

German – Deutsch

This week I want to show you the prototype, the first crochet version of the Goldcrest Scarf that was good enough to finish the whole scarf. It has a slightly different way to use the colors and a different finishing which also was the starting version in the design process. The knitting version is so to say the adapted version from the crochet prototype.

Not too much difference except that the first version has the middle square colors alternated in the mosaic part and both triangles have the same color. This makes the scarf less colorful. That is why we decided to crochet it one more time. The original first version also has straight endings which also changed in the final pattern.

The changes resulted in this final version which became the SCHEEPJES Dawn Chorus Pick & Mix CKAL Experience – the Goldcrest Scarf – crochet version

From there on the knitting version was created in the same color setting.

On this picture the knitted version is combined with the Common People hat made in Scheepjes Merino Soft (Van Gogh 641). The pattern for the hat can be found HERE.

But now to the the real fun part again: Many new versions in the groups. Many different color ways. Many different paces. And i really love them all!

Ruth Lambert aka the.woolly.librarian made both the knitting and the crochet version in different colors. And the are just amazing plus she made some amazing pictures.

Crochet version color pop by Coby Limper
Kniting version, amzing color combination by Peggy Apr
Original colors by Amber Sky. Finished! Good job!
Lindy van Oosteren, knitting version, already in the mosaic part.
What a nice, neat square by Carla Snel
Very nice finished knitting version in the original colors by Annemieke Dekker.
Hilly Kooiker managed in her crochet version to place the mosaicdcs over the chains so that the back and front look simiular.
Adaption of the middle square by Sandy Halpenny. Very nice!

I am very sure that all of you look forward to weave in all ends. We still have 2 weeks together but we sure all go in our own speed, enjoy the progress and are not in a hurry.
