Back to the crochet game!

I know, I know, it was a lot of knitting the last few weeks and month. Right now I try to balance things out and I have a new crochet project on my hook. And guess what? I am aiming for a new blanket since i did not crochet bigger things since the pattern release of the Navigator blanket.

The yarn I am going to use just arrived from my friends at Scheepjes and it is going to be the Scheepjes Cahlista again. (100% natural cotton, aran weight, 50g = 85 meters)

All this may not sound too exciting, but here comes the surprise: I am not going to use 2 colors as usual this time but 8…. aaaaaaand it is NOT going to be a mosaic blanket! All other things will be decided on the way but I have an idea….

The colors I am going to use are:

130/old lace, 509/ baby blue, 074/ mercury, 247/ bluebird, 400/ petrol blue, 527/ midnight, 521/deep violet, 124/ ultramarine

and they will, in my opinion make a very good color gradient light to dark look.

After you have seen the colorway plus the little boat you might not be very surprised that the blanket is going to be inspired by the mighty sea… Stay tuned more information is coming very soon. ‘

If you already want to take a look where you can find a local Scheepjes Dealer or an online store you will find them HERE.

I also started a cooperation with lettering artist @kreatifikir (on Instagram). He designed a logo for me and the lettering you can see on this mug. The mug and a few other things are, by the way available HERE (Europe) and HERE (Northern America, Europe, Australia). 🙂

If you use my patterns and post pictures in social medias it would be nice to link or refer to my blog: martinupnorth.com and use #martinupnorth. Feedback is more than welcome.

Stay tuned, more news from up north very soon…
