The “Waves” blanket – free pattern inside

So here is the pattern for the “Waves” blanket made in 17 shades of SCHEEPJES Cahlista. The initial is from @sunshineyalex and is inspired by a wall painting made by Schuyler Beecroft. There is a free version of the pattern here on the blog.

We decided that 100% of sales profit from this pattern will be donated to Sardinienhunde E.V. An organisation who works for street dog on the Italian island Sardinia.

Alex met those two fellas on her vacation and contacted the people at „ Satdinenhunde e.V.“ who tried to help instantly.

And that is why I really would like you to go for the paid, ready-to-print, PDF version, available in US, UK and Dutch on RAVELRY HERE this time.

Even a little help can make a big difference.

A big, big “thank you” to Marianne Den Decker who translated the pattern to dutch.

If you already want to order your yarn you can find your local SCHEEPJES dealer here:

Pattern Notes

  • Read the whole pattern before you start.
  • I crochet tight so you might check your gauge and might go up a hook size or get a bigger blanket which means you might need more yarn.
  • Ch1 at beg of row does not count as st. First sc is always worked in same stitch as ch1.
  • Pattern is worked on rs only (except row 2, 4, 26, 28, 51, 53 and the repeats of those rows).
  • All scs in round four (last round of border) are crocheted through both loops.
  • All dcs are worked in flo in the second row beneath (same color row). Except border.
  • The pattern is adjustable in width and length. Starting chain is a multiple of 34 plus 5 plus 1 (turning stitch). The original pattern has 6 repeats in width and 12 repeats in length and start with a starting chain of 210 stitches.

    1. Yes, absolutely! The waves will go in the other direction. But as they go in both direction it will not be a big difference.
