Multi – Color: A Summer project!

All my bags are packed, I am ready to go…

When going on vacation, you should only take the very essential things with you. In my case that means that I allow myself to take my happy box full of Scheepjes Cahlista with me. I plan to start a new multi color summer project and the fact that I can not decide which color I want to start with means that I have to take the entire box with me.

I try to be as structured and prepared as possible, I weigh all yarns so that I can give you the exact amount of used materials when the project is finished.

The final decision which colors I am going to use is not taken yet but I am a 100% sure that this is going to be my happy multi color summer project. You might know (because I use Scheepjes Cahlista a lot) that this yarn comes in 109 shades, it is 100% natural cotton and 50 grams are 85 meters. I am going to use a 4,5mm hook.

The colors which are in my project box right now are: (left to right): Saffron, Ultramarine, Lime, Rust, Amethyst, Old Lace, Petrol Blue, Sweet Orange, Mercury, Brick Red, Jade

And as a last minute choice even 4 balls in the color Deep Violet jumped in my box and I am going to receive some Jet Black from my friends at Scheepjes soon too.

The information I can give you right now is, that I am going to do a blanket and that it is going to be based on 209 stitches, which means, that the starting chain is going to have 210 stitches.

I am going to use the mosaic technique (surprise, surprise) and that the blanket is going to have 12 to 14 colors.

I know that this is information might not be very, very useful at the moment but it is a start.

You will find your local SCHEEPJES dealer or favourite online store HERE.

If you use my patterns and post pictures in social medias it would be nice to link or refer to my blog  www.martinupnorth.com and use #martinupnorth . Feedback is more than welcome!

More from Up North soon…
