The HEINZ blanket – FREE PATTERN INSIDE

Back then, when it was autumn this project still was a WIP, it was still possible to sit outside and crochet even though it started to get quite chilly. Today we have a minus 9 degrees, the gras is covered in a thick layer of ice and snow and the project has become a fully grown blanket.

Almost 32 balls of 100grams Scheepjes Truly Scrumptious have become the “Heinz” blanket. The pattern has been written and is tested by @sunshineyalex and is ready to be released.

This is just a short reminder how much effort, time and love is included in every handcrafted project.

Materials

Hook: 6,00 mm

Yarn:

Scheepjes Truly Scrumptious, 50% Recycled Polyester (recycled plastic bottles) x 50% Acrylic; 100grams = 108 meters

Yarn A: 17 balls, Huckleberry Pie / 324

Yarn B: 15 balls, Cinnamon Peach Cobbler / 323

Measurements

140 cm x 200 cm without border

Gauge in pattern:

10 cm x 10 cm = 12 stitches x 16 rows

Pattern Notes

• Read the whole pattern.
• Ch1 at beg of row does not count as st. First sc is always worked in same stitch as ch1.
• To change colour, work last sc of row in old colour up to final 2 loops on hook, draw through new colour to finish stitch.
• Do not fasten off yarn if not specified. Simply pick up yarn used two rows below. Change of yarn is done in last stitch of row with two loops on hook.
• Pattern is worked from bottom up creating horizontal lines.
• Pattern is adjustable to any size using multiples of 48 stitches and 48 rows. To achieve symmetry, you must add 13 stitches and rows to your repeats plus 4 stitches and 2 rows.
